Byblos SS19: When Blade Runner style meets new neons

Manuel Facchini brings Byblos back to MFW, with a show that pays homage to self-expression.

Futuristic fringing, new neons and boho meets sci-fi garms: Byblos’ SS19 show in Milan payed homage to the vibrant aesthetics of Burning Man festival. Taking place in the Nevada desert since the mid-80s, the annual event is a celebration of creativity, individuality and art. It’s also known for its cyber punk, reflective fashion moments.

“Hippie and space-age references typical of the Burning Man mix together,” according to show notes. Space suits with reflective details, graduating to urban parkas create new contrasts, while sports technicalities and oversized silhouettes get a psychedelic touch.
