Beehive barnets, messy bobs, Jane Birkin-esque fringe game. Rankin and Nick Irwin's new beauty editorial is an ode to youthful rebels of the 1960s and beyond. Misfits is an hair-raising story, enlisting the next big names in hairdressing (the UK Fame Team 2018: Ellie Bond Paddy McDougall, Peter Mellon and Katie Prescott) to create a series of neo-vintage looks. From Miu Miu’s modern texture with a strong 60s element to soft grunge at Ashley Williams, the major tresses trend for AW18 is about free expression and nurturing difference.
