Wes Anderson’s next film will be shot on location in France

Hot off the public and critical acclaim of his latest film, Isle of Dogs, Wes Anderson is getting ready for his next.

Set to be the auteur’s tenth feature film, this time he’s stepping away from the studio and back into the wild. For the director’s new project, Anderson is heading to France, where he will shoot on location in Angoulême.

Although a clear lover of France, working with French icons like Lea Seydoux and Mathieu Amalric in the past, and also having lived in the country for several years now. Marking his 23rd year making features, Anderson’s next production is set to go into production in February 2019 for at least four months. All the director’s live-action work has been previously shot on location – The Royal Tenenbaums in New York and The Darjeeling Limited in Jodhpur, Rajasthan – it seems to suggest that his next will be set in La Belle France.
